Projects and Change

Supporting your teams to make change happen

Our consultants have decades of experience in successful change delivery. This includes:

  • managing projects, programmes, and portfolios of change

  • turning round failing projects

  • running Programme Management Offices and implementing governance frameworks

  • facilitating workshops to define requirements and map processes

  • delivering project management training - upskilling your teams to better manage change.

Consultancy & interim management

We can:

  • create prioritisation frameworks so you can identify the organisational ‘top projects’, and ensure resource is focussed where it adds most value

  • support project / programme initiation; providing a solid foundation for successful delivery. Outputs can include documentation of scope / objectives, recommendations around resourcing models, specification of deliverables, plans and budgets

  • design and implement templates (eg. Project Briefs and Business Cases) and change frameworks appropriate to the needs of your organisation

  • facilitate process mapping workshops, mapping current (As Is) or designing new (To Be) processes, working with stakeholders from across the business - and potentially also beneficiaries, supporters and volunteers.

  • fix broken projects: unsticking projects you can’t get delivered; addressing project issues to make swift progress

  • establish project reporting; ensuring that, across your change portfolio, your leadership team understands what’s scheduled when, what’s on track and what’s slipping, and what’s over or under-budget.

Interim management:

  • oversee organisational change; leading PMOs and managing change portfolios

  • programme / project management; successfully delivering or turning round failing projects.

Upskilling and supporting your teams

We can:

  • deliver training: ‘An Introduction to Project Management’, normally aimed at non-professional project managers. 1-2 day courses, exploring common project roles, different methodologies (Waterfall vs Agile vs Blended), tools and techniques like planning, risk management, lessons learned and benefits realisation. Courses will be tailored to the needs of your organisation, and can include your organisation’s methodology and templates

  • facilitate Action Learning Sets, enabling your project managers to explore and resolve complex issues; upskilling staff and fostering links across business silos

  • mentor and coach staff involved in projects, and quality-assure project documents; reviewing plans, business cases, and increasing confidence in deploying project management tools and techniques.
