Joe started his career in financial services. At Barclays Wealth, he provided governance and assurance around the delivery of a £10m portfolio of projects. He also managed project governance and planning for a £14m business change / systems implementation project for Oxford University.

He moved to the not for profit sector in 2010, delivering a sport and mental health project for Mind, working in partnership with Premier League clubs, the Football Association and other sports governing bodies. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Parkinson’s UK, he was then responsible for organisational strategy and planning, overseeing the delivery of all change and managing corporate risk.

Joe founded Coney Consultancy in 2017. His freelance clients include;

  • Charities: RNIB, the British Legion, Barnardo’s, Citizen’s Advice, Parkinson’s UK, the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, Sported, the Methodist Housing Association, Gingerbread, AFK, St Wilfrid’s Hospice, St Peter & St James Hospice, the Bank Workers Charity, Guild Care, Kick It Out and Sported

  • Sport: The Football Association, the England Cricket Board, British Fencing and Brentford Football Club.

Anne is an expert project manager, workshop facilitator and trainer. She’s also a qualified coach. Her key professional achievements include;

  • Delivering Fly The Flag, a project marking the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, involving the artist Ai Weiwei. Anne managed relations with the Tate and the National Theatre, and coordinated 300+ creative organisations across the UK, and internationally, to deliver community projects

  • For Arts Council England, managing the interaction between key partners from statutory services, NGOs and the arts sector, to create a national response to the Strategic Commissioning framework for local government

  • Facilitating a highly successful, two-day strategy Away Day for the English Speaking Union SLT and board

  • Project managing the delivery of video content for the charity Achalasia Action, working with patients, clinicians and animators to create an introductory guide for the condition.
